Tools used for fondant rose
- Medium rose cutter set
- Round cutter 1cm
- Ball tool
- Former pad
- Cutting wheel tool
- Rolling pin and board
Materials and ingredients
- White fondant: 50g
- Pinch of CMC powder (help the fondant rose to set more quickly)
- Rose paste color
- Edible glue
Step by step how to make fondant rose
Step 1: Colour the white fondant with a little rose color.Knead with a pinch of CMC powder until it mixed evenly and pliable.
Step 2: Dust the fondant board with corn flour. Roll the pink fondant into a thin layer.
Step 3: Use cutter number 1 and 2 to cut out the flower then use the round cutter to cut the hole at the center. See more in video
Step 4: Cutting petals separately using cutting wheel tool.
Step 5: Make the petals thinner with the ball tool. Move the ball tool half in, half out the edge of petals.
Step 6: Roll the first petal very close to make the center (rose bud)
Step 7: Brush edible glue haft of the next petals, arrange around the rose bud.
Step 8: Use rose cutter number 3 to cut out the flower. Do the same way as before, arrange 5 petals around to make the second layer.
We have finished the fondant rose flower. If you would like to make the flower bigger just continue with the bigger rose cutter number 4 and so on.
