Directions to make spiderman birthday cake with pictures
Step 1: Turn the oven on, set the temperature at 350F (180C). Use a spiderman cake pan, then use cooking spray the bottom and around the edges. (make sure it is oiled carefully, otherwise the cake will stick and break)
Step 2: In the mixing bowl, place the liquid first: water, eggs, oil, then put the cake mix finally on top of that. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer, start at 30 seconds on slow speed, scrape down the mixing bowl then increase the speed to medium for 2 minutes.

Step 3: Tip all the cake mixture to the ready cake-tins. Then bake for about 30-40 minutes (make sure the oven came to the right temperature already). Check with a skewer or a knife; the cake should be ready if the skewer/knife comes out clean. Then leave the cake in spiderman pan for 10 minutes before tipping out, make sure it completely cooled down to decorate.

Stick in middle to bottom and lift up, if the knife comes out clean, the cake is cooked
Step 4: Prepare a recipe of buttercream frosting, then coloring by using soft gel color, we just need red color for spiderman face area. The rest just using white buttercream (no color) and black buttercream (used for drawing details of spiderman face and borders, I buy in black buttercream because I can not color it by using color, it always turns out grey or brown)

Step 5: Icing and piping, enjoyable and easy task, see how to do it in my video, 100% you can do it.
Step 6 (optional): Use ganache to draw happy birthday and name, or anything you would like to write.

Now you can make a Spiderman cake at home
