Directions tutorial with video how to make a simple Unicorn cake
Step 1: Set the oven temperature at 170'C (338'F). Use 7-inch round cake pan, cut and line the baking paper (parchment paper) at the bottom, then use cooking spray the bottom and around the edges.
Step 2: In the mixing bowl, place the liquid first: water, eggs, oil, then put the cake mix finally on top of that. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer, start at 30 seconds on slow speed, scrape down the mixing bowl then increase the speed to medium for 2 minutes.
Step 3: Pour cake mixture to greased round cake-pan. Bake for about 18-20 minutes (make sure the oven came to the right temperature already). Once it cooked, leave the cake in the tin for about 10mins, then tip it out, leave aside for cooled down
Step 4: Make 1/3 batch of buttercream icing, see buttercream recipe
Step 5: Then divide a batch into 5 parts: 1 part white just leave it like that. The rest 4 parts just add a few drops of yellow, green, blue, purple. I use soft gel Ameri Colour
Step 6: Prepare a piping bag with mixed colored buttercream icing
Step 7: Decorate like the video.
